“They killed the man, but not the movement.”
Ken Saro-Wiwa was executed in 1995 for daring to speak out against Shell’s destruction of the Niger Delta. He exposed how corporate greed poisoned the land, the water, and the lives of the Ogoni people, and for that, the Nigerian regime, backed by Shell’s interests, hanged him and 8 other Ogoni activists to death.
30 years later, Shell still profits from pollution, displacement, and climate chaos. The same system that killed Ken continues to destroy communities across the Global South, and fuels the crisis threatening the entire world.
But we remember. We resist.
📍 Join us at the Ken Saro-Wiwa Memorial in Vienna, to honour his courage, to expose Shell’s ongoing crimes, and to demand justice for Ogoni land and the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, for the climate, and for every community Shell has harmed.
✊🏾 Together, we say: Shell must fall. Justice must rise.
